Collaborative Job Training Programs

A. A. R. P.  Job Training - Title V Training for Women 55+

  • Qualification - Women, 55 +; federal poverty guidelines - $13,000 maximum income for one ; $17,500 maximum income for two.
  • Minimum wage while training for 16 hours a week.
  • Training in retail merchandising and non-profit administrative assistants.
  • Basic and intermediate computer training.

Welfare Transition Program

  • While in transition from welfare to meaningful employment, volunteer hours are required in order to draw welfare compensation.
  • Welfare transition clients work in our Resource Rack Thrift Shop and administrative offices for a minimum of 10 hours to a maximum of 35 hours a week and are treated as volunteers with volunteer job descriptions.
  • The Women's Resource Center offers these clients opportunities to participate in a variety of programs offered to help them gain emotional and financial indpendence again.
