Becoming Active

YOU can make a difference in the lives of women inPolk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties!

Here are some ways you can begin helping:

Thanksgiving and Christmas Programs: coordination and gathering of food for Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas gifts for the clients and families of our Independence Program. Adopt a family this year!
Volunteer - at the thrift shop, information/referral HOTLINE, at special events, etc.
Facilitate group meetings for women on areas of your personal or business expertise.
Add your non-profit organization to our information/hotline network.
Make a bequest, honorarium, or memorial gift in the name of someone you love or admire to the Women's Resource Center.
Mentor a woman in transition.
Enroll in our Independence Program.
